Events as big as the DEN Leadership Council dinner and a Friends of Discovery evening event featuring Phillipe Cousteau deserve their own blog post. Once again, Discovery Education threw a party Texas style.
Tuesday evening was a treat for the DEN LC at the Iron Cactus on Austin's infamous Sixth Street. The photo shows Justin Karkow, Discovery Education manager for Texas and me discussing the future of the DEN in Texas after dinner. Several brave STARS ventured forth for some after dinner entertainment. Ahhhhh, the power of the network!
Wednesday evening STAR DEN members and their guests were treated to a reception at Dona Emilia's adjacent to the Convention Center. Phillipe Cousteau, grandson of the famous oceanographer was there to meet, greet and sign autographs. Thanks DEN, for another memorable event.
Catch the DEN Pre-Conference Event highlights on the Texas DEN blog. Thanks, Elaine, for a great post. Wish I could've been there for the day.
Everything's bigger and better in Texas!
